Photographing sunflowers and a Baby Belly, in Fenelon Falls

I love photographing maternity sessions, not sure what it is but I love everything about them. The excitement I can see in my clients eyes as they are about to expand their family, and of course adults usually listen better then children making most maternity sessions a bit easier. Although this family already had a sweet daughter who did amazing and we got some portraits of just her, quite often I don’t get that luckily.

Nikole found a beautiful sunflower field near Fenelon Falls and had permission to photograph her family there. Did you know Sunflower is the only flower with flower in its name! Fun fact for you today! “Helianthus” is the scientific name of sunflower, Helia for Sun and Anthus for Flower. Sunflowers symbol of faith, loyalty and adoration. They follow the movement of the sun across the sky from east to west, and this process is known as heliotropism. I love photographing in nature, and I love flowers and anything with a pop colour so I was trilled to get the opportunity to photograph this family for this very special occasion. Look forward to meeting the little one to come. <3

The dresses Nikole and her daughter are wearing are my gowns and offered to be used for my clients, be sure to ask if you’d like to see what I have to offer you for your photo sessions. Be sure to check out the images right to the bottom where you can see the rainbow dress being used again.
